When Robison-Anton Textile Company opened shop in the early 1900's; the landscape of America was very different from that of today. One thing that hasn't changed, however, is New York City's status as the country's fashion epicenter. When European immigrants set up Schiffli embroidery machines in New Jersey's Palisades, adjacent to New York City, Robison Textile positioned itself to service the industry and satisfy the growing need for embroidery trimmings.
